'Fortnite' PS4 Bundle Leaks - Includes 500 V-Bucks & Royale Bomber Skin

Fortnite is apparently getting its own PS4 bundle, if a Facebook post from PlayStation Italy is any indication. The set features a standard PS4 console, a copy of Fortnite. 500 V-Bucks and the Royale Bomber skin. A price point has not been revealed, but based on similar bundles, we expect it will cost somewhere between $350 and $400.

The translated Facebook post reads as follows:

"Ready for summer challenges? From July 16 comes PS4 with Fortnite. the phenomenon of the year! In The Pack also there will be the special costume Royal Bomber and 500 V-Bucks!"

Neither Epic Games nor Sony have announced this bundle stateside, but it's worth noting that the box art featured in the Facebook post has English text. This could be in preparation for wider sales across all of Europe, but it might also hint at the set releasing in the United States as well. Given the global appeal of Fortnite that would seem likely, but because this is a leak, we don't know precisely when, or even if, this bundle will make its way to our territory.

If there's one mystery this bundle does solve, though, it's the curious case of the Royale Bomber skin. The Royale Bomber was first data mined from update 4.3 at the end of May, and players have been anticipating its release ever since. This leak confirms it will be part of the bundle with a PS4. It's unclear if the Bomber will be exclusive to the bundle, but history tells us it might be. After all, Epic has partnered with Sony multiple times to offer exclusive skins for PlayStation Plus subscribers. It's possible there may be an alternate way to get the skin once the package hits store shelves.

The leaked reveal of a Fortnite PS4 bundle couldn't have come at a more awkward time. Since Fortnite made its Switch debut last week, the gaming community at large has rallied against Sony's controversial decision to block Fortnite 's crossplay features across Switch and Xbox One. In Switch's case specifically, players can't even access the game on Nintendo's console if their Epic account has ever been used on a PS4. So, if you happen to buy this bundle when it releases, just be aware you won't be able to squad up with your friends on other consoles unless Sony changes its mind.
