- Are you shook by the recent meteorite devastation? Do you want head protection guaranteed to not protect you at all? Well then this is the build for you. In this episode I make the Rust Lord Helmet from Fortnite. It may not protect you against meteorites, but it definitely can protect against lightly thrown crumpled sheets of paper. I made a template using an actual motorcycle helmet, and constructed it out of EVA floor mat foam and craft foam. Let me know in the comments below if there is something you would like to see me build from this series, another show, video game, or whatever. Great Job. We love it. Do you sell them?
I typically only make one of every build you see my videos. I sale most of them on my Etsy shop, link in the description. And a lot of the Fortnite items sale pretty quickly. This was actually sold to an employee at Epic Games.

Lawrence, I just made this for my son's costume and I printed the templates at 90% of the original. I would start there then cut out the templates and tape them together and put the finished form on his head to see if that is small enough. If it still seems to big try 85%. Much easier to do the trial and error with the paper templates before committing the design to foam.

Thanks so much for this video and the templates. Here is my helmet after gluing and sealing the seams. postimg. cc/87dkCQQx I now have it plasti-dip'ed and in the process of painting. Not sure if you take requests or not. But I am about to tackle leg guards to go with this costume. I see one guy on Etsy selling a template for Fortnite leg guards but would love to see your take on it. Be a good easy build that would go with just about any fortnite character.

Question on the resizing. Would just resizing the print out to 90% be sufficient for an 11 year old you think?
(average size head) Or would that be too small

I am making one for my 11 year old and I did just that. At 90% it still fits my adult head. And for my 11yo I need to put some padding on the inside to keep it from looking like a bobble head on his head :)
